Without an ANC, your marriage will be in community of property, meaning all assets and debts are shared.

With an ANC, you have two options:
- Marriage out of community of property with the accrual system – Each spouse retains individual ownership of premarital assets, but property acquired during the marriage is shared.
- Marriage out of community of property without accrual – Each spouse keeps their own assets and liabilities entirely separate.
